Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is a custom bracelet, anklet, or necklace sized just for you and welded together. Because the jewelry has no clasp, it is permanent! It’s not something you take on and off when you go to bed or shower, but it can be removed with scissors if need be.

Does it hurt?

No, not at all! There is no “soldering” or flame, just a tiny spark to heat the metal together. Nothing touches your skin.

Q: What metals do you use?

We have a range of materials to choose from so that there is something for everybody. We offer 14k solid gold in yellow and white, 14k gold filled, and sterling silver.

Q: What if I want it removed?

You can easily remove your jewelry by cutting the jump ring with a pair of flush cutters or you can come into our store and we can remove it for you. If you want to reattach your jewelry we are happy to do that for you but it is important that you ensure the jewelry is cut at the jump ring otherwise your piece might not fit correctly anymore and you will have to replace your chain. Scissors, wire cutters, or pliers are also capable of cutting your jewelry.

Q: What if it breaks?

Notify us as soon as the breakage happens and how it happened. We guarantee our welds, meaning we stand behind our work and are confident in our applications. We use state of the art technology and other factors that not all permanent jewelry artists use to ensure a strong weld. However, there are lifestyle factors that can cause jewelry to break that is out of our control. It can happen, jewelry is not indestructible. Although, if your jewelry breaks we are more than happy to re-weld it. We cover repairs that are needed by the closure that we added and because of a welder issue, the repair is free. A small fee of $15 is required for all other repairs or misuse. If the bracelet has broken in too many places or has become stretched because of improper use, a larger fee may be owed. Bracelets put on by other establishments require a fee for repair.

Q: What if I get home and don’t like my jewelry?

We are sorry to hear that you’ve decided permanent jewelry isn’t for you. We are happy to add a clasp to your piece so you may remove it as you please. However, all sales are final.

Q: Do you have an allergy warranty?

Unfortunately this is something that is out of our control. We use high quality metals, the same as fine jewelry stores use. Any allergic reactions are not eligible for refunds.

Q: What if my jewelry tarnishes?

With proper care these chains should not turn rapidly. If you expose your jewelry to chemicals, lotions, spray tans, bug spray or sunscreen make sure to rinse the chain off with some water after you apply these substances. Some lifestyle factors such as sulfur in shower water, high acidity in skincare products, or even our own pH can cause jewelry to wear more rapidly. We are not held responsible in these circumstances.

Q: Will this affect me going through airport security?

Fine jewelry such as the chains we use in the jewelry will not need to be taken off when going through TSA.

Q: Do you take walk ins?

Appointments are the best way to ensure that we have the jewelry materials in stock that you prefer and will get you in and out in a timely manner. We do take walk-ins, but we ask that you call first to make sure that we have the ability to accommodate you at that time.

Q: What if I need to reschedule?

Rescheduling is totally acceptable! You’re able to reschedule your appointment and transfer your deposit at any point before 24 hours prior to your appointment. Unfortunately, if you don’t reschedule before 24 hours prior to your appointment, your deposit will be non-refundable. Failure to appear for your appointment without giving any notice, your deposit will also become non-refundable.

Q: What if I need to cancel?

Give us a call at (206) 240 - 3434. Cancellations must be made before 24 hours prior to the appointment.

Q: I don’t see any appointments available for the time I want. What do I do?

If there are no appointments available at the time you want, it either means that someone else has already booked that slot or our welders are unavailable. You’re always welcome to call with questions regarding appointments but no appointment slot is guaranteed

Q: What if a group of my friends all wants one at once?

We will happily accommodate a group!

Q: I got a piece from another place and it broke, will you fix it?

Definitely! Just contact us and include photos and the original material price and we’ll see what we can do. Depending on the chain, we may or may not have the material capability to repair other shops’ jewelry but we’ll try our best!

Q: Will you add charms to a bracelet I got at another place?

Of course!
